There are many debates and scientific backings on both sides of the cooked vs. raw diet idea, but simply put, in the most logical way possible, is this: Alive foods are alive for a reason. "Dead" foods are dead for a reason. Foods that are dead and foods that are alive are not the same. All the minute details and debates really boil down to that simple concept. Basically every organism birthed/grown/born of the planet Earth is "raw." There are many sources that shed light on how our body is designed for eating nature, so those ideas won't be belabored. The foundational premise is that humans in this day and age, now have the science and discernment that eating raw meat may not always be the healthiest choice available, and that cooking food, in general, introduces carcinogens and changes the chemical compounds of the food. That doesn't automatically mean cooking food can't be beneficial; however, it is not included in this dietary approach. The idea that humans can benefit from eating the Divinity diet is simply an internal and external observation.
